Friday’s free practice for the second round of the 2008 Le Mans Series at Monza’s famous Autodromo got better and better for Embassy Racing this afternoon - both on and off the track.

It was a wonderful sight to behold, the WF01 46 car of Jonny Kane and Joey Foster lapping the sun drenched circuit in a blistering 1:41.554 to go 6th fastest in class on the day. And at the same time, the spirits of the Embassy crew were dealt a double pleasure whammy, as Embassy girl Amy, was called upon to pose for a photo shoot in and around the pit lane and garage in her new role as the face of Embassy Racing.

The day was considered a major success for both cars. Not only did they show excellent race pace and reliability, but they have closed the gap on the leading LMP2 cars and the modified steering system which led to retirement in Barcelona has stood up to it’s first real test without trouble.
The 45 car of Warren and Mario posted a fastest time in the first session of 1:42.301 which saw them 12th quickest in the session.
The team is in no doubt that more hard work is required to push the Embassy WF01’s towards the podium positions, but there is positive feeling in the air and tomorrow’s third free practice session just might bring this dream one step closer.
