We are pleased to say that we have now confirmed three days testing for our two LMP2 WF01 Prototypes at the Nurburgring in Germany on the 19th, 20th and 21st March.
After the team’s dissapopintment at not having both cars ready in time for the official test at Paul Ricard this comes as welcome news for the entire team here at Embassy, but it is patricularly welcome news for the drivers.

Driver Warren Hughes’s view:
“I am just dying to get in the car now. There has been a lot of planning and preparation and now I just want to hit the track.
The Nurburgring is a good choice of testing circuit for the car, there are lots of high speed and low speed areas and a good variation of corners where we will be able to see what the car is capable of, not to mention the added bonus that we will be racing there later in the year. My only concern at this stage is the weather in Germany at this time of year. If we can have a few dry days then we will learn a massive amount about the car, if it is wet then it means we will still be learning about the car in the first three races which is not ideal before the 24 hours of Le Mans. What we don’t want is to be testing in between races.
The design team have worked very hard on this project and I now want to do my bit.”
Driver Jonny Kane’s view:
“I am looking forward to the season now immensely; it seems like forever since we finished the season in Brazil in November.
I am keen to see what the car can do and the Nurburgring will be the ideal circuit for that. If we can get some good weather and some good mileage under our belt I will be very happy. It’s a shame that we can’t make the official test at Paul Ricard but with a major project like this you have to expect small setbacks and teething problems but I’m not worried. Everybody here knows the amount of work that will be involved this year and everybody is excited for the start of the season”
Driver Joey Foster’s view:
“I just want to get some good track time in the car now. Probably more than the other drivers as it will be a whole new experience for me from the Formula 3 car I was racing in last year, so the more time I can get in the car before the season starts the better.
Obviously, it would have been great if we could have got to Paul Ricard but I am just thrilled to be involved in such a massive project and you have to expect slight glitches in a project this size and i don’t think it will affect our preparation too much as a three day test in Germany will allow us to test the car sufficiently and give me plenty of time to familiarise myself with the car in general. The Nurburgring has some great corners and has a nice blend of high and slow speed areas that will really let us see what the car is a good at. I really can’t wait.”
