12.08.08 Embassy returns to action
Embassy Racing returns to action this weekend in our first competitive race since the Le Mans 24 hours as we head to Germany for the penultimate stage of the Le Mans Series at the Nurburgring. Since returning from France every member of the team has been frantically working on the two WF01’s in a bid to rebuild and repair them in time do some high quality testing before going to the Nurburgring. That was successfully achieved when we tested both the 45 and 46 cars at Snetterton several weeks ago, the team returned to the workshop to make some final adjustments before leaving for Germany today (Tuesday 12th August) to salvage something from a disappointing season so far. Jonathan France is excited to be returning to the Nurburgring and spoke of the season so far “I’m looking forward to returning to our bread and butter that is the Le Mans series this weekend. It seems like forever since the successful outing in our first ever 24 hours of Le Mans which I was very happy with, but we haven’t even come close to achieving what I would have liked in the Le Mans series this year. The Nurburgring is one of my favourite circuits and I will be looking for us to have a good showing in Germany which I hope will lift everybody’s spirits and give us a great a platform to build on for Silverstone and 2009.” Embassy will have a new driver line-up for the Nurburgring and Silverstone with Darren Manning returning to the fold to partner Joey Foster in car 46, whilst Jonny Kane and Warren Hughes will be paired together in the 45 WF01. Check the website Friday for all the free practice news from the Embassy Racing camp.
