13.04.07 Radical in Pilbeam out

It was a difficult decision but it had to be made - the Embassy Racing Pilbeam prototype was just too much of an unknown proposition to develop into a competitive and reliable race car for the first round of the Le Mans series at Monza this weekend 14th and 15th April 2007.

So enter plan B - the Embassy Racing Radical prototype - a proven race winner and in Embassy tune, a credible and very effective Le Mans series tool.

With very little preparation time and even fewer test laps under its tyres, the Radical presents the team with many challenges at Monza. But on the flip side, the package is already well known, reliable and fast and should allow us to make a good account of ourselves here in northern Italy.

The weather is dry, sunny and warm - the team upbeat and the car immaculate. Everything is in place for a fantastic weekend so let’s hope we can emulate the first time out success of the Moto division last week with a maiden victory here on Sunday.
