…actually, anyone who follows motorsport will know that at Spa it is just the opposite – it always rains, it positively pours down – and it did for Embassy today (Sunday 11th May), metaphorically at least.
Because in swelteringly hot and sunny, some might say perfect conditions, our best ever grid position turned into retirement for Joey in car 46 as he was hit from behind and pushed into the barrier on the rolling lap.

The 45 WF01 of Warren and Jonny fared somewhat better, running well until lap 41 when it was involved in an incident that required it to pit. The car was repaired but considerable laps were lost. It rejoined the race some time later with the team usng the remaining time to get valuable race laps, though there was little hope of catching the leading LMP2 runners.
The weekend was looking so good prior to the first lap of the race when all the hard work was undone through no fault of our own.
Tragic.
