AJ Venter rode a brilliant race in the Superstock 600 series at Croft today (Saturday 13th September) to claim a well earned 9th place finish.

After a disappointing qualifying session AJ had it all to do from his 27th grid position and the junior rider didn’t have a great start either despite going in to 23rd. He began to fight his way up the pack, taking rider after rider, lap by lap – or it certainly seemed that way. Having crept into the top 16 which meant points would be scored, AJ wasn’t content and went all out to get in to the top 10, which he succeeded in doing with 2 laps to go.
Overall, an excellent race from AJ who still holds third place in the championship but will no doubt be disappointed with the weekend’s earlier weather which hampered his qualifying.
