Map Embassy’s Supersport riders were on it nice and early in free practice at Mallory Park today (Friday 27th June). At what is the teams local circuit, both Glen Richards and Paul young were showing good pace in the first session.
Glen managed to set the second fastest time of the session whilst Paul, who was up near the top three for most of the run-out eventually slipped to 7th, but the fact that he was right up there with Glen early on proves he is making a speedy recovery from the ankle injury he sustained at Snetterton.

Glen had his usual company in the top five with Westmoreland, Kennaugh, Martin and Plater all on top of their games.
The second session was spoiled when the weather turned sour. A ten minute period of dense rain which sat heavy on the track meant the session was officially classed as a wet practice. The conditions allowed a few teams, including Map Embassy, the chance to test their second bikes and wet settings but many riders made the decision not to go out.
